Carrier compliance: DOT drug testing, plainly

Covered by DOT testing

Drivers of semis, dump trucks and CDL-rated box trucks; CDL-A hotshots at 26,001 lb or more combined with a trailer over 10,000 lb; and anyone hauling placarded hazmat. Owner-operators in this group must join a random pool, register in the Clearinghouse, keep a written policy and pass a pre-employment test.

Not covered

Non-CDL hotshots and non-CDL 26 ft box trucks at or under 26,000 lb combined, with no placarded hazmat. They still follow other DOT rules for commercial vehicles, like the medical card and hours of service, but not the drug and alcohol program. Check your rig with our weight checker if you're close to the line.

Then, the loads

Compliance keeps you legal; loads keep you paid. Our dispatch desk books loads for CDL and non-CDL rigs alike. You approve every load, and the rate con comes straight to you.
